Ok, one of my jobs today was to get my mountain bike ready for a week away in the New Forest. Had a theraputic morning putting bits on, fabricating and greasing bits etc. Decided I should take a photo of it. Nothing too exiting really - but it is my photo of today.
(D80, Sigma 28 - 200 @52 manual focus!! ISO400 F5.6, 160th sec - for those who like details)

nice shot. since you often talk about metering, thought i'd just let you know that iso400 is the main reason you blew the whites on the top of the bike. iso100 is 2 stops less sensitivity, that dos make a big difference.

Beautiful image, nicely composed and executed Btuner. Great use of the leading lines and that contrast of the black sky. Good DOF as well. Love it.

Yeah - I realise that. However - that's the 28 - 200@ 52mm(=78 equiv) - somehow if I'm going to get blur or shake - it'll happen with that lens so I always go a couple of shutter speeds faster if I can - only reason for the 400 ISO there
