That sounds good too but I have to give Rooz a couple of points bc he's located somewhere I've always wanted to go visit. 2 for the price of one.

    Aldor88, that's pretty cool.

    Good moon shot Turo.

    self portrait

not really. had a great shoot today. actually....my camera did. one of the musical groups i play in performed a "relay for life" event which raises money for breast cancer. took my d40x, put on the 55-200 vr and handed it to my friends wife. she had not used an slr in 25 yrs. (high school class).
after i asked her if she understood f stops and shutter speed and she gave a hardy thumds up, i showed her how to use the meter in the viewer and away she went!!! like a duck to water!! thank u april!! she took about 150 pics of which only maybe 4-5 were culled!!
this pic is not a self portrait, but is of me holding my guitar and waiting. the untouched photo has plenty of detail and light.
i was playing around in acdsee pro 2 and hit on this and thought it was nifty.
after trying gimp, lightroom, elements, picture project and nx i may have found the program that works for me.
    any constructive critique greatly appreciated
