Its funny looking at your shots- have a lot of the same shots, just not as zoomed in as close as yours. Here some shots I was able to get from the day. I think I am going to go and get the 2.0TC for this very reason.

Anyway, this also meant that the sun was off to my right when looking at the field and directly in my line of sight when panning right to left. Being surrounding by much taller individuals also restricted my panning.

I took this photo with the same set up, also from yesterday:

Oh wow, such nice shots you guys! Rooz, you seem to have mastery over CLS these days! TNB, Esoterra, love the birds in flight. We had a few warbirds flying over our fair city today as well for Remembrance Day, but the weather wasn't very cooperative and I was tied up with other commitments so no pics today

LOL--it was the same show, same time of day, using the same equipment. I basically wanted smoke, afterburners, background or something other than just a plain sky so that is want I tried to shoot.

    For example:

Here, today would have probably been better to photograph the aircraft since there were clouds; however, I already planned to shoot soccer at UNLV today--just returned home and the photos are downloading.

This shot is too distracting for me. The mountain is taking away from the jets- maybe shoot wide open to limit the depth of field if possible. I like the smoke trail on the bottom jet.

I have other frames of the shot, but the jets weren't aligned like they are in that photo--a little something out of my control just like I can probably take more photos of strikes and still miss a "hit" since baseball players may "miss" a strike though I've captured it. Most of my "group" shots at the show are "plain janes" since they were higher in the sky when they were performing (excluding the shots with smoke). Of course, you probably have your own similar shots.

This one I liked simply because I was Army Airborne.

And now, it is time to check on the UNLV soccer photos....

Too bad you didn't go to SEMA this year instead of going next year--there was a pretty nice bug inside the entrance to the north hallway. I probably snapped a photo of it, so I may post it down the road on this thread or the "other" thread.
