This one is in the wrong thread.
It should be in the rumours thread.

Prospero, these are old pix i took and i am afraid to disappoint you but i did not create those effects, a friend of mine did. i just showed him pix and they looked so dull... he is a Photoshop freak and a photographer and he told me he will work on them. Then he brought me the results. As he moved out since some time ago i can try to call him and ask how he did those.

That action shot is incredible for handheld.. what was the shutter?

    Thanks again for the photos!
The first photo was 1/500sec and the second was 1/4sec (still hand held). I managed to capture a few ball on bat photos and a few catches of the ball just before they entered the glove both by the infield and outfield.

That new Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 400mm f/2.8G ED VR lens would have been nice to have for the outfield night shots.

Shot this one under the shade of a tree today on a very sunny morning. Next time I'll bring my reflector and diffuser to try and even out the light on her face and arm. I rented an 85mm lens for the week to see if it's really want I want, and so far it's quite a lot nicer for what I want than my 50mm f/1.4.

Thanks for the replys to my picture.
Rich, yeah my sensor needs cleaning. I cleaned it before this summer, but in dusty Italy it gets dirty real quick. However, concerning the dust just left of the centre; strangely enough only my Loch Ness picture seems affected.

Geoff, you are right, you commented on the picture in the landscape thread. I sometimes post in both threads, because I think many people only look at one of the two places.

K1W1, you're right. I should have posted it in the rumour thread . I just hope the rumour spreads and I can sell my picture for say 5000 dollars...

Fiondruinne, I hadn't heard about Runrig yet. I can imagine that the concert suffered from heavy rain. In the three weeks I was in Scotland we had a whopping three days without any rain...
