Thanks for the comments. Seems I'm doing something right.

I haven't ran it through NI because I only want to soften some parts, but without losing too much detail. That's why I didn't want to use a gaussian layer. In the end, I used it but it's not even noticeable. I was afraid of blurring too much.

I think your attempt is a little too smooth, but it's much closer to the look I wanted than mine.

My PS is in Spanish, so could you tell me where to find the blemish fixer? Maybe that way I'll get to it.

It was a little tight. Specially considering I don't have anything wider than 28mm (aka. 42mm). The original shot was planned for me to take it from the passenger seat and the flash outside her window on a tripod, but I had to change it to get more perspective, since I couldn't get much of her in the frame. That's when I put the tripod on the seat and went to the backseat.

Good job Gabriel... Your 'softbox' worked well. Being as I don't have a real woman to shoot, I'll have to settle with my silent, dancing dashboard companion...

Here's one i'm really proud of. Again, no post work except for a minor crop along the bottom (it had way too much black down their), and the watermark. Enjoy, and do critique.

Great shot NCF! Everything worked out perfectly there. That's what I love about outdoor/nature photography, most of the time the light will be crap, but there's always that time that things come out perfect.

    Same girl:

I hate my stairs, particularly in this shot. They are too reflective and dark. I did some heavy editing, specially the reflections of the flash, and they still look bad, but I like her pose.

Used underexposed on-camera flash to light the scene and my SB600 at 85mm to highlight her face. The white wall bounced some light and softened the shadows.

This is a picture I took for POTD elsewhere to fit the theme "Faith", so I figured I'd share it here, too.

Tamron 28-27 @ 75mm, f/3.5, ISO 100 and lighting provided by the window and SB-600 (I'm still practicing with it ), PP done is CS3 and I honestly can't remember all of the stuff I did to get this look. LOL

Not sure why this one conjures up a certain feeling, but it does!

One of the best I've seen.

    Nice Kellie,
Gods word and a window to your soul, can't miss.

How you are shooting at 75mm with a lens that has a range of -1
(28-27mm typo) nothing short of a miracle
