Thanks for the compliment Rooz, I've always loved taking close up shots of flowers and whatever else I can find but have been trying to shoot more lately after seeing what you've been producing. I've also been trying macros with flash seeing the depth of field at f14 you can get. It's just too hard to get decent shutter speeds with natural light at f14, so flash has helped. Thanks for the inspiration.

This was grainy so I thought it would look better converted to b&w. I must admit that I do sort of like the film grain look on b&w. I printed this on my Epson R260 (that I got free after rebate) on high quality paper and it looks awesome! That cheapie printer keeps amazing me. It's better than the Costco prints I've been getting.

That's a very precious capture Kellie.
I thought about who I am... and realized I was an

Great shot shoeytennis, I have tried bird shots but no such luck.
Kellie that is a very cute kid you got there.

Went out for a walk last night and wanted to try some stuff I read on Dave Black's website,
a technique he calls "moody blue". Look here for more.

Kellie thats a wonderful capture you have there. I love photographing my niece and nephew so much because of those priceless momentary expressions you caputred so nicely here. The B/W works great too.

gmtech79 - very very nice capture there - the colors just blow me away, great exposure. I could do with a little less space on top, crop off about the top 10%, print, frame, hang! Nicely done.

Thanks a lot, yea I wasn't sure what to do with that, cropping always seems a little tricky for me between getting aspect ratios right for prints and then making sure the crop is still good for visual interest.
