From memory the free Flickr account downsizes images to a maximum of 1024 pixels wide.

I've never seen that either. You're not in a GM crop test area are you?

Jason - your 4th shots are awesome!!

Dust Bowl Refugee - I love the perspective of the cyclists shot! Now my husband wants me to get a wode angle lens. LOL

This is a shot from Winter, WI where we spent a week at the cabins for our family reunion. I'm not actually sure who took this. It might have been my husband. He keeps stealing the camera.

I don't know if thats true or not, but still 1024 wide is too big to post in a forum - it would be a great improvement over uploading a file to the DCRP.

When I post pictures here they are always 1024 wide by default.
I think these days it's reasonable to assume that everybody is using a screen resolution of at least 1024 x 768 if not higher.

Picasa is a good, quick way to handle the resizes, I've found. When I export an edited file, I have the options for size and quality right there. And no editing program I know of beats Picasa for speed. That's a darn snappy little program.

I think 800x600 is best for posting in a forum, as it usually doesn't stretch the browser window, and require scrolling.
