    Thank you, it was a bit lucky really, I was framing up for a landscape when the cyclists arrived. They looked disgustingly fresh after 15 miles up a mountain.....

    thanx tor...credit goes to the lens though. i didn't expect it to turn out this well fully extended with the TC. am pretty happy.
    there's actually bugger all diffrence really between the original and the sharpened version. this time round i used 10% sharpening.

    still no tripod, i don; think it makes the slightest bit of difference to tell you the truth. i will have to run a side by side test to check it out when i get it back.

    Half moons show a lot more detail whereas the full moon seems flat.

    I like this one better.... also the smaller size makes it look "sharp enough" even without the sharpening
