Nice. Any particular reason for shooting this at f/11 vs. 5.6 or 8?

It's macro. At f5.6 about 1/4 of the subject would be in focus.

    Awkward Itch

Saw this Mallard Drake with an itch in a hard to reach place this afternoon. Female was with him and I have shots of both of them. Have seen this identical pair at this puddle several times in the last week. He has a distinctive pattern on his head and is easy to identify.

Glad to hear that Dewey finally got hitched. Seems to be a little feather eczema. Too bad the photo lacks detail... (JK of course).

Ok I went back and looked again... so now I'm blind...

    ... Happy?

Was that Robin Bobbin? Sorry if that's a reference that some may not have heard.

    Another good bird-shot.

Even a tone deaf Aussie has heard that reference D70, was a mandatory song in primary school - before they politely asked me to leave the choir

I really like that Robin Falcon, subject, framing, composition and especially the exposure. Your love of nature shows through in your shots.
