Tim, Second shot is my pick. Too bad they had the scaffolding in the way.

Similar problem last week trying an updated shoot at San Carlos Mission in Carmel. Stage 2 of earthquake reinforcement.

Thanks fellas. As they say in the classics DPR, "you had to be there"! I'm amazed I'm still awake and not slumped over the keyboard. It was really dark when we arrived and I was surprised the photos came out as well as they did. I was on auto-ISO and it went to 6400 for the first few. I think it's the first time I've used a tripod with the D7000 and yes, I remembered to turn off the VR! I also used the infrared remote to trigger the shutter and it worked like a charm.
Nikon D7000 and a bunch of Nikon stuff oh, and some Canon p&s's too

Les, I'm just starting to really appreciate how far ISO can be pushed with the D7000.

Again great job of documenting the arrival.

Yes. They did have to repair the AF system, and so far, so good. The 18-105 seems to be doing what it should have originally, and even the old Sigmas seem to be working better. Nikon did about a 2 week turn.
