I'm impressed. 1/6 sec. No visible blur. You are the rock.

A shot of the "old swimmin' hole". Actually it's where I learned to spear-fish.

Have you ever thought about doing stock photography for work site related subjects?

What? No buzz on the D7100? I tried.

Sort of like the D300s or D5200.

I would think that action shooters might be interested in the 1.3x (additional) crop at 7fps. Makes that 70-200 f/2.8 into a double threat 105-300 and a 140-400, with nearly the entire frame (15MP) covered by focus points.

D800E fans... No anti-aliasing filter... really, none.

No? Going once, going twice... Wow tough audience.

It sounds pretty interesting, and I would be seriously looking at it had I not just bought the D600.
The additional crop will be an interesting one to watch how it performs in the real world.

I'm waiting for the D400 in late March or April thanks.
7 fps is to slow for sports and the 1.3x crop whist still making 15 mp images is going to be very hard to frame in action sports with inside an already small DX viewfinder when Nikon have not blacked out the surrounds but have just drawn a line. I can see heaps of missing heads and hands while people are learning to use it.

All said it's a camera, it's got some new features but nothing that is really ground breaking these days.

BTW: I'm actually more interested in the fixed lens APS-C rangefinder style camera that is due in a couple of weeks.

I'm not sure about stock, I've not really heard anyone making a fortune from it.

In the case of this image, the model is the design manager of my prime contractor ($291M contract), if they want an image they'll buy it. The biggest hurdle would be ensuring there's no perceived conflict of interest with my day job.

I'm the rock my backside, I used a tripod.

The d7100 is the best apsc dslr ever made. Simple as that.
The d400 is going to be a bloody monster if its a step above.

I know of a couple of people making a living at it. A fortune no... a living, yes.
