On a lighter vein... Tried to shoot the sunset from the dunes. Not a great sunset so this one was just for fun.
In fact the whole series was a bust (and it was getting a tad cold). I need a new place for sunsets...

Monterey Peninsula (Pacific Grove) sunset.

It's a three shot HDR -1,0,+1 with the camera balanced on a wobbly fence post.
The exif is on the Flickr link if you follow it.

Many thanks. HDR makes sense. Definately a good one. Most of my limited library is on Smugmug, so I don't frequent Flickr, but now gives me a reason to go there from time-to-time.

D70Fan: What's with the colours of that sunse? Has it been enhanced?
K1W1: Your bike is back to front.
Here's the portrait of Ms. Hen. I hope it hasn't been posted before.

Well... yes. I spent some time shooting the sunset the other night, and while the shoot truned out ok, the sunset itself was pretty plain-Jane. i.e. big red ball decending over the horizon...blah-blah-blah. By accident, I asked NX2 to auto correct the light, and voila! blue and gold. A little surreal, but interesting (more so than the actual sunset). And it actually made a nice 8x10.
That is an excellent shot of Ms. Hen. The 70-300 works very well in your hands.
