    DPRoberts,
That's good family portrait. Unfortunately you are not in there as well.
Lucky you got 41°C, I had 46°C and that sent the train service into disarray. Typical of CityRail. I always say its infrastructure was designed to run at room temperature.

It's true D70Fan. We couldn't help but bewildered: how did they do it?
Personally, while I admire and bewildered by Asian monuments for their artistic statues and bas reliefs, I always look at the pictures of ancient European grand castles in awe. It's their grand size that makes me wonder - how did they drag the stones to build on a cliff? Unlike the Asian builders of the time, the Europeans wouldn't have elephants either.

    Thanks.
Yes it does, especially at its original size (1510 x 1000). A touch of unsharp mask helps, but I would have thought at f/8 and 1/360, things should have looked a bit sharper all round.
Nikon D7000 and a bunch of Nikon stuff — oh, and some Canon p&s's too

This seems to be happening on a regular basis. Sometimes the majority of shots look, for lack of a better description, noisy, with noise reduction applied. i.e. soft, but processed soft.

Anyway, frustrating and it's going back to Nikon asap.

    Ha! See, I can change...

With a Sigma lens that is where I would be looking first.

Thanks. Take one camera, tripod and 10.5mm lens a km into the forest then take 5 shots and edit in Nik HDR Efex and low and behold! Easy really.
