Taken just a few moments ago

So, there I was. . . Drinking an ice cold frosty one, I can't remember which number I'm on . . . I was getting ready to start the Weber and do some BBQing. . . when the idea for this photo came to my head . . . I didn't have much time to throw it together so, A) sorry about the model, B) I should have used the 50 instead of the 85mm, C) I could have used umbrellas instead of bare flashes. . . anyway the list could go on. . . Heres what I captured:

BTW if this image could have a genre it'd be comedy. . .

Who says fire can't be fun? I appreciate your self risk factor for our ammusment. Never fear, the eyebrows and facial hair grow back.

I often loose tract of how many cans/bottles have met their fate before "spinnin the chicken" (aka rotisserie), or burnin' the Kobe's (Kobe burgers). Which explains why my wife bought me a gas grill. Throw in a few Mesquite chunks, and mmmmmm-mmm! That's good eatin'.

How's this for the moon? A lower exposure this time:

And this is from Timpanogos Cave in Utah.

It was my first time shooting in this kind of conditions. I used only the on-board flash, and also raised the exposure quite a bit in PP.
(Tripods weren't allowed and the tour group kept moving on, I was always the last one )

I've never used the flash much, so it was a good learning experience. It seems that the minimum shutter speed when using the D50's
on-board flash is 1/500 sec? A few times, I wished that I could have used a shorter shutter speed, or had a less bright flash, to prevent
the glare from the flash. I guess that's why people get other flash systems

I know some of the top of the photo is over-exposed by the raise of exposure in PP ... I don't know how to successfully selectively darken
it or protect it (without having a noticeable transition from darkened-to-not.) I use Paint Shop Pro X. Any tips?
