I hear what you're saying. Chacun à son goût and all that. But photos can be more than just records, they can be art, too. Even the great masters often re-did their paintings, going over bits they didn't like or had second thoughts about. They didn't hesitate to improve upon nature!
I'll take that in the nice way...
Mais bien sûr.

Again, I never said they don't take good pictures... just not a real improvement over the D70 at the time, and it did not like to focus using my Sigma lenses. Come to think of it sometimes would not focus (even in decent light) with my Nikkors either.
Once focused, IQ was never an issue.

It's all good. My post wasn't even really directed at you. I didn't even go back far enough in the thread to see why he posted his comment. I was merely stating that I'm still happy with results I get from mine.......although it doesn't get nearly the use it used to get now that I have the D7000.

Not a problem on this end either. Same situation with the D70. Still like the results, just not the limited ISO and 1.9" LCD. I use it as a second body when I think I'll need a second lens. As in your case the D7000 fills the day-to-day tasks at this point with a lot more versatility, and I can finally use the old 43-86 f/3.5 AiS. Heck I still use my old 3mp D990 for macro shots.
