Good timing! You're getting some great IQ out of that lens.

    Aparmley,

I love that treatment on the photo you did. It reminds me of an engraving or drawing. I'd ask how you did it, but I haven't figured out sepia yet in my PSE 5.

    Thanks Andy,
I always single shoot, 2.5 fps is not fast enough. It is really suprising how much goes on in one second. I usually shoot the batter with both eyes open so I can try and time the ball in frame moment.

Single shot + good timing is the only way to go. I remember when I began looking at cameras I thought the more FPS the better - wrong! I use single shot only. Now I suppose 10 fps is a little different - how can you go wrong. . .but even shooting @ 5 fps I always had better results in single shot.

    Butterfly Pavilion

Recently went to a butterfly pavilion in Colorado. First real outing with the 18-200 VR (love it!!) and feel as I got some decent shots. C&C welcome and encouraged.

Oh, yea aparmley, I never posted anything when you made the big switch, but I always get a kick to see people switch to Nikon.

Front brake on my bike. Its a nice unit but a friend of mine if basically giving me a set of hydro brakes so I am gonna sell this guy.

    Camera: Nikon D70s
    Exposure: 0.017 sec (1/60)
    Aperture: f/8
    Focal Length: 60 mm
    Exposure Bias: 0/6 EV

Used my new 60mm macro lense on this guy. I guess I *didn't* have to use it. But its REAL nice!

Nothing too exciting here, but I found it kind of amusing. These two girls (the hired photographers) taking the photos at my cousins wedding had different systems! One of them used a D200, the other a 1D.

I figured I'd plop myself right behind them at all times! Nothing like shadowing a paid photographers to learn the ropes, right :P haha

And neither are using a flash bracket. Just shameful!
