Thanx for the Kudos. I do like the shot. looks like MPIX will be getting some work soon anyway.
The Tammy is not exactly new anymore, I have had it for a bit over a year, now. I should change my signature to reflect that but I am lazy. i might need to have it serviced, though. Occasionally it seems to show what I call 'ghosting' where the edges of an image seem to double. It did get some mud on it earlier this summer when I slipped and fell into the muddy area of the riverbank and I can hear soft gritty sounds when I move the outer focus ring.. I hate the thought of sending it in as I use it almost daily.

Nope, it just is shown as a 70-300 set at 300 (for this shot). Don't know whether the Tammy outputs more info that the camera doesn't use or if it is just not there.
Here is another shot from yesterday. Cropped to show the crooked neck as the bird looked behind it. Makes me cringe just to look at it.

Did some more (portable) studio work the other day. Used two studio strobes firing through translucent white umbrellas (to soften the shadows) placed either side of the subject for lighting. Very little pp in this shot -- just some light sharpening and vignetting.

Reason: I originally uploaded the photo from my laptop, where it looked ok, but not so good on my desktop monitor so I re-processed it.
Nikon D7000 and a bunch of Nikon stuff — oh, and some Canon p&s's too
Les you're rocking the portraits. D70 congrats on the camera and nice image, very minimalist.
