It's fun playing with the D50 with kit lens whilst wearing a crash helmet, sunglasses and gloves.

Yes very cool and interesting. Also amazing to see your development as a photographer from the D80 thru to the D700.

I'll give it a try. Not sure it will do it justice, though. It's hard to explain the effect it has. I'll try it tomorrow -- the picture is in my office at work.

I agree -- a very interesting, moody shot. Is it an HDR? Can you tell us what post processing you used?

Thanks guys. Yeah, it is an HDR. I like the HDR for getting the cloud textures, which would be been near impossible to do and still keep the rest exposed well....for me anyhow. Some call it cheating, but I don't mind. I imported into Lightroom 3.3, and the exported as jpeg to Photomatix. Tweaked it a little in Photomatix, then re-imported into Lightroom, where I upped the saturation just a bit.

Good looking beach seen. I just got done digging my car out of the 12-14" inches of fresh snow up here in good ole Minneapolis. Consider yourself lucky!

I am currently involved in a shoot for a local producer director of short films. I am the on site photographer and am having a great time!

Here is one of a woman whose son was just kidnapped by her ex husband; oh and the adults are played by kids:

Great butterfly shot. Your daughter is getting very good .

Here's another shot from Rome, one of the Swiss Guards in Vatican City. Taken with the 135 f/2.8 wide open.
