Here's two pictures (sorry), but they go along with the Christmas theme. I hope everyone is having a great holiday season, no matter how you are celebrating it!
Technical details:
First one: F 4.5, 1/60s and ISO 200 38 mm FL
Second one: F 8.0, 1/60s and ISO 200 34 mm FL
(after looking at the Focal length I should have used my 35 mm F1.8, but coming up to the spot I wasn't sure if that length would work, so I stuck with the trusted 18-105 for the flexibility)
Both with the SB-600 attached to the camera (I know that's not good) but with the flash bounced straight up off the gazebo roof, 1/4 CTO and a bounce card to give a little more light on the subjects (my daughters and Santa).
John
D90 with the 18-105 kit lens M-Rock Yellowstone bag, 35 mm F1.8 G, and a SB-600 Flash
Wants: Too many and I need to become a better photographer first anyway!!
Maybe it is me but I like 'em both. Slightly different poses but still relating to 'Santa'. Lighting looks fine to me, no harsh shadows, thanks to the bounce flash. You could get rid of the 3 lights in the background of the second shot, though.

This is my first time I've tried an interior shot like this. Security was very nice and let me photograph inside as this is the lobby of an office building. CC are more than welcome.
Okay, I keep trying to post and this reminds me why it's been so long since I have. What am I doing wrong? Though I think I finally figured it out. Dang technology!
