    Congrats on the new D40! It will serve you well, I still shoot a lot with mine. I just put the 18-55 non VR back on it. Have fun and enjoy!

    Here is a quick shot.... usually we are putting the boat in but now we are feeding ducks and waiting for spring!

    My buddy started with a D40 and just recently sold it to move up to a D90. When I told him I bought a D40 he asked to trade cameras for a few days. He said that there is still many times he prefers shooting with the D40 over his D90.

    And thanks K1W1. Besides needing a camera bag and a strap, I am still deciding on either the Tamron 17-50 f2.8 or the 35 f1.8 this upcomming spring. Maybe I will get my buddy to buy the Tamron and I will steal it for a week.
