    toriaj,

I think the exposure would have definitely had to be "under" for the landscape, in order to not blow out the sky. I don't think there was a problem with the exposure. I do like the saturation, but agree that resizing often over accentuates the results of a "good" pp. I think somewhere in between... The shot is DEFINITELY worthy of working in post until you get it right where you want it.

i know, pretty crap photos but i didn't have a chance to get a better subject and i was busting to get something out of the sigma that showed its vibrant colours, contrast, low light capability, sharpness and bokeh.

these two are untouched out of the cam. shot in RAW, (more vivid mode - which in hindsight was a mistake cos it showed uo the noise alot more), and converted to jpeg/ resized. thats it.

VERY impressed. this is not only wide open at 2.8 but also at high iso's, low SS's and fully extended. my only regret with this lens is i will have to be eternally grateful to coldy who recommeded it.

I wouldn't go completely B&W, it just looks to contrived. The contrast is already there, perhaps the girl could be enhanced just a bit and the rest dulled.

I agree. With everything else in B&W, it almost looks like she's photoshopped in .
