Wow - not one comment on my flower photo. Guess I'm not part of the club.
What do you expect, you're not a senior member
Many pictures in this thread don't get any comments. If you want comments and critique, it's better to post a series of pictures in a separate thread.
For what it's worth, I like the flower picture, but I feel it could use a bit more contrast. Perhaps if you use the curves tool to give the picture more contrast, the picture will work better.

Rich, great edit! Nice combination of sepia-like colours and black and white. The original was great, but I think this is even better.

You are right there. I don't expect comments in this thread and the majority of my shots don't get them.
To be brutally honest flower shots generally don't do anything for me and I can't recall actually commenting on one and I don't know umijin well enough to make some tongue in check comment that could be misinterpreted.

For me it's nothing to do with "a club". If something stands out to me I try to mention it but that's not always possible here where so many great shots are posted. If something doesn't work for me I try to avoid commenting unless specifically asked to do so.
Curt I like the smooth blue colour you've achieved for the background.
I think a little more direct light on the flower itself would help it stand out.
I don't think the branch adds much, it doesn't lead your eye anywhere doesn't particularly divide the frame and isn't very attractive.
I'd prefer slightly more sharpness on the stamens.

My feelings exactly. It also helps when asking for feedback to say more than "C&C welcome." Try saying a little bit about what you were trying to do with the shots and what your looking for in terms of specific feedback, such as composition, exposure, etc.
