    jmccalip, nice shots. The first couple have a bit of a focus problem - it looks like the camera was focusing on the grass, rather than the cat. That could be the fault of using "closest subject" AF-area mode, in which case you'll probably want to change to Dynamic Area or Single-Area modes, which will make it easier to get the subject you want into focus.
