Not to mention Ssil and Sir Les who are also Adelaidians. Not bad 3 active members from a town of only 1 million people.

I feel both my lens and I stuffed this shot, not really sure why but none of the shots was sharp. Darn forgetting spot metering.

WOW! I love hot weather (which is why I'm hating the current 15F/-10C here), but I can't imagine it THAT hot! Do you guys just stay indoors and run around naked? That's what I'd do....

We do generally stay indoors and this heat is why almost everything here has air condition (bus stops, pedestrian crossings, metro stations etc)...though just heat is not much of an issue, it's the humidity that makes life difficult....and running naked would land us in jail...

    Peregrine and Prey

This is one of my favorite shots from this afternoons rarity, managed to snag shots of our local peregrine Falcon with a kill. I just missed the actual stoop and kill. The stinker flew right over my head with the pigeon it had caught.
Figured something had been up, the flock of pigeons had gone nuts flying all over in a big frantic flock. Shot a lot and this is one of the best.
D300, Sigma 70-300, F11, ISO 200, 1/640 Aperture Pri. PP: exposure tweaked slightly, cropped.

I'll leave that to the native Australians. :-)
