    FINALLY, a night without clouds so I could test out the sigma 150-500 with the sigma x2 teleconverter on the moon. I need a new tripod, that's for sure, but the result is OK anyway



    ISO 200, F13 (limited by the teleconverter)

    AFAIK the majority of us have not / do not do this for any form of reimbursement.. beyond reimbursing Nikon's R&D department for their time.

    For me it's just a hobby. I shoot quite some stuff at my student club, but I do all that for free.
    I once shot a wedding party (not the ceremony and the formals, but just the party) but that was for family and I had never done it before, so I did that for free as well. They were happy about the shots, though, and gave me a good bottle of scotch afterwards.
