wow two pics in two days, that's a record for me.
I messed up the left side with flashes bouncing off the ground.
my POS car for now until I get better, then I'll ask around for a real car!

Whats the best nikon lense to use for crisp car shot.

Depends...for least distortion I'd go with a 50mm for an FX camera and 35mm for a DX camera. Those are the "normal" lenses for the formats, and generally speaking, are very sharp, especially when stopped down just a bit (f4 - f8). You could use a telephoto if you want to flatten the view a bit. A wide angle lens will definitely give a distorted view. It would make for an unusual shot, but could be used to emphasize some particular feature, like enlarging the front end to make it more of a "beast". Of course, you would want to be careful with your angle on such a shot.
One note about your latest picture. If you turn the wheel straight, or toward the camera, the wheel doesn't tend to look so disembodied.

Can't see it clearly, but I think they're frenched in about 1/3 of the way up the window at the back side of the door. A good body man can almost completely hide a handle.

Thanks for the info.
The wheel thing, i did on purpose. Its a typical thing they do to show the rim more and adds to the characteristics of the car.
