Hmm, nice setup... but do we need a 70-300 for the left paperweight... is it essential, or could, oh, something else substitute? I'd like to try it but I don't think I could afford your setup right now. Paperweight's kinda expensive.

Well Rooz I just posted over in the DSLR forum (Here) as to why. Basically, I want to know which system will be best for me. I started down the Canon road, but have always been interested in Nikon's gear. So, I figured what the hell, buy a D80 and see - sell off the gear I didn't choose and come away from it all with the system that works best for me at a small loss on the sale of the old gear. The flash system is a big plus for me. I'm not a pro, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the excellent points of Nikon's flash system. Plus the shutter sound is just bad ass.

looking forward to seeing how you go. i can understand a rebel owner switching to d80 but a 30d ? wow, that is a fine piece of equipment. anyway, will be cool to see some pics from you over this side of the fence anyhow.

Beautiful vista, Stoller. Did you use a polarizing filter on that shot?
