Nikon DSLR "Picture Of The Day"

I've been scoping out for a wireless remote for the D700 myself also.

I just got a Phottix Cleon for the D300. It was delivered yesterday actually from a well known auction site for just under Aus$40.00 (US$33.00) delivered to my door. You get a combination of a wired and wireless release with the wireless having a range of some 100 metres. After a quick play last night it seems to work exactly as advertised except I haven't pushed the wireless distance at all yet.

Rooz, I normally dont hand out compliments but your lighting skills have become very, very impressive. I am always amazed to see what you come up with. There is no question in my mind that you could make a very nice living doing this as a business.

thanks all, appreciate the kind words, and to think i did this despite the fact that i'm an idiot who didn't use a lightmeter, ratios and a calculator !!

when i first looked at this shot i loved it. but after more critical review i was in 2 minds. one thing for sure is that the position of the softbox reflection in my eye is in the wrong place and it washes out the detail, but otherwise i really like the lighting. what do you think ?

Did you both used polarisation filter on your pictures ?

Yeah, I used a polarizer and my SB800 off camera closer to the subjects. It was my first time experimenting with my flash off the camera. Quite fun!
