    I tried with all of them, and they couldn't pull it off. the DR just isn't there to cope with this scene. I could brighten the right side of the frame up a little in post, but wanted to show the sooc metering and range. and none of them resolve this level of detail or blow the hedge out to look that good. see...there is a reason. lol

    D70Fan, are those painting by the ancient natives?

    Here's one for perspective. A 'candle'.
    Tim, yes and no, they are actually exact copies of petroglyphs from around Arizona, including several of the ancient tribes like Hohokum, and Anastazi, as well as unnamed groups prior to them. There are a lot of sites preserved in the state.

    This Blue Wren visited me during lunch.

    And Farmland at Sunset

    Both taken during last weekends scouting trip to the Naracoorte Caves. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naracoo..._National_Park

    Once I'd driven the kiddies there, I buggered off and spent my time shooting while they went adventure caving.

    Your blue wren looks a lot like our black capped chickadee, but that tail position is distinctly a wren.

    Wow, my work laptop color balance is way off, there was almost no blue in the wren on that screen.

    DPR;
    That lower pic looks like dragonfly country, unless it is a salt marsh. Shallow water with perch points and places for the nymph's to emerge and moult.
