Thanks for the clarification. Now tracking some on e-bay. The old 70-300 D does not do well above 200mm.

I have already posted one of our oldest buildings back on page 1678. San Carlos Borromeo De Carmelo (Camel Mission) est. 1770 by Junipero Serra (where he is interred).
It also earned me a few $$ as the cover of History Channel magazine. You never know who is cruising the pages of DCRP.

Looking forward to your future entries.

Another one from a modern day pagoda in Cambodia. This is actually a wall of a former tycoon stupa. It's larger than a villa built in replica of Angkor Wat temple.

Thanks Tim. Love the info and location, but this shot is similar to the purple fringing torture test Jeff used to use.

When in doubt, underexpose a little.

    Game time!

Here are some shots from today's Minor league game. B-Mets-vs-Akron Aeros.
I do like the additional crop mode. It is very workable with the box in the viewfinder you can see wher th image cuts off but still have the outer view so moving persons or objects do not catch you completely by surprise. 3D matrix focusing seem to work well the way I have set it up working in Aperture preferred mode. I don't like sport mode at all, a friends recommendation, I find that the jumping around of the focus points distracting and the things are always focusing where I am NOT looking. With A. P. it sets up the way I want it and seem to stay in a more confined area, not jumping all over the screen.

+1 what DPR said. The pic will be 100x better with a straight horizon.

Yep. I usually fix those B4 posting, didn't see that one until after. Try to fix soon. Sister from Fl. is coming today, haven't seen her in 10 years.

Nice series Falcon. I forget to adjust for horizon as well. Usually about 1 degree left.

DPR, Getting in some practice with the 800? Just amazingly clean. In addition, that 400 f/4 is a contrasty little devil.

NIce Pic DPR; Have to get to our zoo soon as well, one of the oldest in the USA.
Here is a shot of an early Rhododendron. Taken with the Sigma 150. Interesting factoid-single line EXIF data in ACDSee shows it as a 150 not the usual 225.
This has been sent to MPIX for later printing (Duck is already on the way from them.)
