Here's one from today but on the daughters camera because it was just supposed to be a documentary shoot for work and I didn't want to carry a pricey camera in this part of town.

Thank's . I had just put my 24-85 lense on when this guy showed up. So I put the 150-500 back on. I was lucky he flew around us two times. When he flew around the tree he came in straight at me then he turned and the sun lit up his wing I took the shot. I thought I was facing into the sun to much when I took it but I guess not. As a landscape it had to much sky but as a portrait crop made the composition.
This is what I was taking pictures of. I hope the colors get better.
DPR I know how you feel about taking a nice camera into a bad part of town.

Ok I should have fixed my lighting but it was easier to crank the iso to 3200 and put up with a slow shutter speed blurry photo. Here is my very 1st D800 shot, yes I know it's not art but it's meaningful for me and he's bloody hard to photograph. Loving using the 24-70 as a 24-70 too.
