took this shot of water beading on leaves after a shower yesterday, Yesterday's pic-of-the-day?
Really like the starburst on the left edge of the large bead. Taken with the kit lens (18-105).

The 18-105 works well in your hands. A very nice shot.

Nice composition Falcon, if you don't mind my saying it, if the chance comes up to get a similar shot, a bit more open would have helped as only 1/250th at F8, ISO 400 and 340mm equivalent has cost you a lot of sharpness.

Other shots in the sequence were sharper. I am not exactly sure why this one was a bit soft unless the lens decided at that precise time to 'hunt' for focus. I did have to tweak lighting a bit as her face was quite shadowed. I did like the shot otherwise and her family loves it despite what I see as technical failings.

I believe Joe McNally once said his most famous image wasn't even in focus.

This is a slice-of-life shot that will live on forever. It will never happen again.
