    DPR,

Nice use of high key. Not my favorite style, but put to good use here.

    Before it's gone

WE have been having a real taste of summer (last week) and now winter tried to sneak in. (24F this AM) Last week it was into the lower 80's. Shot this pic of an early Rhododendron in front of a neighbor's house on a cloudy Sat. Looked tonite after work. Most were dead.

Well, if DPR can post his fave pic, I can too! I may be biased, but this one ticks all the boxes for me...

Wow! species is that one. I know that there are several Aussie spiders that are very dangerous.

    Thank you.
In fact, spiders are never favourite animals of mine.
Those are Saint Andrew Cross Spider and not venomous.
The dangerous ones are the red back and the funnel web. I might shoot a red back if I see one but never the funnel web; they are very aggressive and will jump on you.

    Butterfly

Look at what I found in my backyard. And it stayed still for me; too.
