Rooz, why do you prefer the 16-35, I could understand if you were using filters but you didn't in that shot.

I am assuming that tractor is an HDR image. I love everything about it. The red/orange against the cool blue tones works great as a reinforcement to the composition. The leading line in the clouds and the horizon placement direct your eye right to the tractor which appears to be attempting to burst out of the image with one headlight staring you down.

I would guess half the weight and the ability to use filters would play a big part also on a d700 16 is pretty wide 10ish on crop

theres a 6 stop ND filter, a CPL and a LEE grad filter in that shot.
