A sulphur crested cockatoo.
Hope this one isn't posted already?

I like the first one I'm not so sure about the second it almost looks on this monitor like you missed focus slightly.
I didn't know cockies played in pine trees.

Thanks K1W1. The 2nd one maybe a little too bright from the colour of the bird.
Cockatoos play anywhere - even on my cloth-line sometimes.

I suppose, like everything else in life, it all depends on your global point of view!

Seems like forever since I posted something on here. Life seems to be getting in the way of hobbies lately!

I just love this picture -- it's so moody and evocative, and raises so many questions such as where is it, what sort of shop is it, why is that fellow standing on a pair of kitchen steps and what's he doing, who's the woman on the billboard on the extreme right, etc., etc.
(I know most of the info is available on the Flickr site, but those are the thoughts that went through my mind on initial viewing.)
It's not just a photo -- it's a work of art!

Thanks, glad you liked it as much as me! I particularly loved how the left side of the picture seems lively and bright (with the store) while the right side seems much darker and lonely.

Kgosden what a great edit, I'd have never thought of that.
Nice sharp moon shot, agree the big copyright spoils it.
Tim we hadn't seen the cocky's before from my memory at least.
Sir Les, interesting to see the different angle from the other side of the world side by side.
Nice Sydney harbour, like the foreground background interest, exposure, cionversion and 50% horizon comp.
Love street photography and thats a nice scene you've got going there.
