    Prospero,

Love the colors and reflections in that Louvre shot.

    Tim,

I think I'd try to clone out the cranes at Garden Island and the post or flag pole in the Opera House shot.

I'm happier with the bridge in the second one you can see walkers on it. I was a bit concerned with the last one you posted, no walkers makes the bridge look naked these days.

    K1W1. I didn't notice that crane
I guess I'm used to seeing them as part of the landscape? Like the 'toaster' in front of the opera house (not in this picture.)

    Beast of the East

Here is a fellow you don't see every day. A large Snapping Turtle, shell length about a foot.
His presence may explain why there have been so few young ducks along this stretch of the river. Geese have been about as usual, but not ducks.
Fill flash used, a Sunpak pf30x, with the new 70-300.

Tim, great pictures from Sydney. I really like the first one. The cranes don't really bother me.

Thanks S. Saqib Shams and Kgosden!
Part of the reasons why the reflection is quite clear is that I held the camera very close to the water surface. That way I got less of the bottom of the fountain and more of the reflection in the picture. Liveview was quite handy for that.

Here's another shot from paris, it's the Eiffel Tower

Falconest: that's not a turtle it's a dinosaur. Tell you the truth that's the first time I see a picture of that species.

Turo: Good split there. I used to be able to do full split up until a few years ago.

Prospero: Thank you. I love the Eiffel tower shot. Oversaturated but even that serves the purpose well.
