    Just experimenting with a cheapie home studio lighting kit I've just bought. Photographing black objects is not easy!

    @ Falconest: I was given the mug as a freebie when I bought my D80 some years ago from a bricks and mortar store. If I'd had my wits about me I'd have asked for two.

    @ tim11: great shot of the Tassie Devil. I thought nothing could be uglier but Falconest's turkey vulture runs it a very close second.

    @ photowerkz: the eyes have it! Beautiful shot.

    Been playing with another iPad photography app, even better in various ways than Photogene called FilterStorm Pro. Here's an image imported directly from CF card to iPad, edited on there and exported from there to Flickr, no desktop machine was used at any point.

    Cameras: Nikon D300, Panasonic Lumix G2, LX3 & FZ20
    Nikkor Lenses: 24-70mm f2.8 - 70-300mm VRII f4.5-5.6 - 50mm f1.4 G - 35mm f1.8 G - 50mm f1.8 - 18-200mm VR f3.5-5.6
    Other Lenses: Tokina: 11-16mm f2.8, Sigma: 17-70mm f2.8-4.5 Macro, Lumix: 14-42mm f3.5-5.6 & 20mm f1.7
