So I figured I post a few before heading into work:
This was shot using D700, 60mm, (2) SB-900s and SU-800:

The next 2 were shot with same, I'm a huge fan of Native Sunglasses, you can pop the lenses out and add different ones for changing light.

This female mallard was just hanging out on the ice while the rest searched for food, it was pretty cold out and the snow was just dying down a bit.

This last one was shot with D700, 70-200 at a local resident only park, not much to shoot but we make do.

"welcome home" i heard in my head as i snapped this shot. after a frustrating and infuriating tryst with a gf1+20/1.7, i pulled the d700 and 50/1.4G out for some shots at home.

Another failed attempt at cross cultural marriages. Imagine how bad it would have been if you had purchased a fairy camera.

I had an abortion of an experience with an Olympus PEN EPL-1 or whatever it was. Worst hybrid camera ever, although Sony NEX would rate as having the biggest abortion of a camera/lens combination design ever conceived (lens = 95% of the weight and about 10x the size of the camera body) and defeating any concept of portability.
The Panasonic G2 by comparison with 20/1.7 for me though worked very well, took some great photos with it in Spain and Portugal last year, the IQ isn't upto my Nikon but functionality wise it worked a charm. Not sure how it compares to the older generation GF1 though to know how the experience compares.
Excuse posting them here but continuing with the shallow DoF being used above, here's some examples from the G2/1.7:

if all you;re taking is those sorts of shots, (ie: non moving objects), then the gf1 will suit. the IQ was outstanding on the rare occasion it got something in focus.
