And another shot of the Moonta mine tailings, this time with some Australiana in the background. Again as the eye sees it, no colour manipulation.

Here is my first contribution to this forum. Having graduated from the Fuji S700, which I enjoyed, I recently fulfilled a long ambition and purchased a DSLR, a Nikon 3000.
These were taken with the kit lens and only cropping and resizing were done. I realize that I lack the skills and knowhow of others but hope to make up for it in enthusiasm and imagination.

Nice pictures. I like how on the third one ice looks like mushrooms. Iceshrooms. haha
My favorite, too. Was on hands and knees in the snow.
Camera scooped up snow on the front of the lens so I had to undo my coat and reach inside to my t-shirt to wipe some of the stuff off the front element. not the best thing to do I know, but I only had the camera with me and nothing else. Fortunately it wasn't that cold (35F). It has been cold enough the last 3 days so that the river has already picked up ice on the shoreline and some pan ice was coming down with the current.

Hi Guys,
Just looking for a bit of CC, especially with Post Processing (Using Lightroom) as I am thinking of getting a Canvas Print done of this image.
