I like the first one better, although the bird in the sky is a bit distracting.

Confused about the colors; interesting, but I don't think the choice fits your land(sea)scape. Also you're bisecting a bit too much; horizon cutting right through the middle of the photo generally isn't as visually interesting as it could be. They're interesting photos tough.

Try cropping about half the sky off the first one (say just above the head of the person on the right) I think it will accentuate the sweep of the land better and you won't have that dead space up top where the bird is.

Doesn't PETA stand for People Eat Tasty Animals
Available all year round from the shops.
Wild corcodiles are protected just like Aligators are in the states, this is farmed meat. It's $25/kg from specialty butchers only and tastes like chicken you can buy for $10/kg so it is a treat for fun.
Wild Kanagaroos can legally be hunted, you just need to find a farmer who will tolerate shooters on his property. It's the same price as beef available in all supermarkets, very tasty - a bit like venison.
Buffalo, no idea it's probably imported from the USA EDIT, I'm an idiot, water buffalo not Bison, thanks K1W1.
Gotta love being able to eat your national symbols.

Buffalo was wild Buffalo from the Northern Territory where they were a pest. I'm not sure whether the shot them all out or not but I guess there would still be some there used for farming purposes at least.
Edit: BTW PETA is a radical and sometimes violent animal rights organisation. Check their web site.
