Just to clarify that comment Rooz, are you saying there's a sharpness difference between the D700 and D300 at the same magnification (ie digital 1.5 zoom)

I'll see how it goes over the weekend. I haven't even attached the 105VR yet. I thought that there'd be a big difference in getting used to the full frame vs DX sensor size but I haven't even noticed the difference. It's just nice to have a very large viewfinder and LCD screen coming from probably the worst viewfinder on any Nikon DSLR and a 2 inch screen with 1/4 of the pixels. Need to get used to the weight though, it's almost double.
