Took this one July 3rd on a fireworks cruise. Thought it turned out okay for being handheld on a boat on Lake Michigan. Chicago is a very photogenic city. Taken with Nikon D300 and Nikon 50mm f/1.8 @ ISO800, f/5.6, 1/125 sec.

After a few people in this thread suggested that something like Lightroom or Photoshop would be better for photo processing than Picasa (which I was using up to this point), I decided to try the demo of LR. Here is the first pic I sent through it. It doesn't really showcase what LR can do, but I was able to play around with it a bit, and in the end, liked this particular version of the pic.

Id like to think as my Photography improves so does my ability to Post process. I took this shot back in May and due to Bordem today i went back through them heres one i looked over.

Y'know, I'm jealous, both of your skill and the fact that you can get to so many motoring events. I'd kill to hit as many events as you seem to get to.

Thanks, Ive got to tell you, I wish i could get to more serious events. The last two drift shots were taken back in May. Every now and then i like to go back through old shots and edit. I think i get better as i do more. I also just got some very nice Post Processing software that i wanted to try out.
