I intentionally sharped the facial area and blurred most everything else. My original intent was to make it look like those ol' black and white horror movies where the the areas around their eyes are bright and sharpend while the outter areas are dark and blown out. They didn't really seem to have gray or as much grays.

I understand but it looks way too overdone to me. That's just my humble opinion, though.

No problem and thanks for the feed back. As mentioned, just playing with some demo plug-ins. Probably, play with the photo later some more adding some scratches and grain, but unsharping it some.
