thanks jase. thats very kind of you to say. i really liked that one too. it actually took about 15 shots to get it the way i wanted it with the flare and the round bokeh to be in the right place. i still think i could have composed it better but thats for another day i suppose. couple more from sunday.

Best photo of the almost 30 I've uploaded this weekend. I went to a wedding for a classmate that I grew up with and graduated with. It was a hard to pick a favourite but I do like this one. The lighting or contrast might not be the best, though.

Rooz, the flare on that second flower shot is just the perfect touch on an already amazing capture!

Tried creating HDRs over the weekend (the building shot). Unfortunately, it didn't look as dramatic as I thought it could be. I'm going to have to keep playing around with it more. And finally, my first try at shooting fireworks:
