awesome andrew. that 50mm and flash has taken your shots to a whole new level. if anything, its almost TOO sharp for the subject.

Thanks rooz, it's probably my favourite lens in my kit. I thought that you returned the 24-70 a while ago, did you end up liking it enough to keep it?

have you thought about rotating the pic so the road is level then cropping in on the beastie maybe so the edge of the road is the bottom of the frame?

or how about cropping to the right of the elk so you can see more of the left side, since it's staring left?

That was the sort of thing I had in mind. Have the beastie stage right looking into the space but make him the star of the show rather than just a bit player a bit like Turos girlfriend above but I am NOT comparing the lovely young lady to an Elk.
