Yeah I can see what you mean, I actually didn't do any sharpening on this one, maybe it's the way the sun is hitting them or when I tweaked the colors.

No I think that the first one has more depth of field and richer colours.

Damselfly
I snapped a few shots of this damselfly on my hike back from the saltmarsh last week. With no-one else around, I could take my time with no disturbances. Again, with my Nikon D90, 18-105VR lens, RAW conversion with NX2, export to JPG and adjustment (some cropping) in LR.
