did you PP this shot to blur everything? I just noticed by his right hand the slide is in focus where I wouldnt expect it to be....

the grass is slightly distracting now you MENTION it...otherwise I hadnt noticed.

no i didnt blur that manually. that front bit of the slide also bugs me. strange light down there i think may have thrown the focal plane off cos it was dappled light. looks just kinda "wrong" in some places. maybe movement ? dunno.

You have good equipments to try them out, I had to manual focus on the sigma. I got a good article on how to shoot waterdroplets in one of Smart Photography mag, I will click a pic and post it here if you guys interested in droplets photography, its a very easy technique.

I think you are right... the focal plane must be messed up a little (and out of the ordinary).

But I only thought that after analysing it closely...still think its a great shot. he is always looking at the camera

I could live with the "shortcomings" of slightly weird focus areas...!
