I sharpened in NX around
amount 19, radius 8 to give crisp borders
then
I also sharpened amount 2, radius 80 (or something like that)
The small amount but big radius gave it a little more pop. A trick people on this site mentioned for flatish looking photos.

Cheers Rooz
Have been looking at those lenses over the weekend, The Nikon is a little expensive would love to go with that one if I have the $$$$$. Have been contemplating the Tamron, does it have an internal motor, like SIGMA's HSM/Silent wave, as I have a D40.
P.S Are you in Australia to rooz?
Regards

As Rooz mentioned the Tamron 90mm macro has a focus motor but to be honest I can't think of a lens where you'd use autofocus less.
I really like manual focus for macro, it makes me feel a bit cross eyed after a while but it's the only way I can get the focus exactly where I want it.
