500mL, how long of a shutter speed did you use for #2? EDIT: nevermind, I just saw it on your flickr site.

Great shots, everyone! Damn, is it me or is the quality of pictures just going up exponentially in this thread?

delobbo, I love that shot, especially the lighting!

    Thanks Turo!

I'm glad I was able to try it successfully this time. One minor mistake I did: I should've used ISO 200 on it. With my excitement to try it, I completely forgot I previously had it set on ISO 800. The full res shows quite a few hot pixels (I think). But other than that, I was pretty happy how it looked

It's got noise. Is that what you get when you shoot from a distance at dusk in not the best clear weather?

    C&C is okay.

I'd use a tripod and slow shutter, increase the exposure compensation a little bit, and use an ISO of 400. It would definitely help decrease the noise. If no tripod, find something where you can set the camera on to. Just my 2 cents

Thought about a tighter crop with this one but then decided against it.

Thank you Adam. It's one of the few recent ones of mine that I really like myself as well...

Wow! That's it! You are showing an insane amount of skill and we simply can't have you making the rest of us look bad!

Seriously, everything is right...the composition, the timing of the shot, the exposure, the focus...not everyone can do what you do...if you're not already putting together a portfolio, you should...and start shopping your skills around...you can start having your gear pay for itself...
