He's still going to be too young for London and 2016 so I'm guessing the 2020 Olympics? He is still going to be on the young side then for a male athlete so what are we looking at, gymnastics? Boxing isn't a long term option and future product endorsements are few and far between for people with messed up faces and cauliflower ears.
Personally as you are his business manager and "Mr 49%" my advice would be to give him a soccer ball (Frank Lampard just signed up for $320,000 per week for 5 years) or go the long term route with a tennis racket now with a view to pro golf after he retires from tennis at about 28. That will get him through to his mid 40's at least and you to retirement. The money and product endorsement opportunities from athletics are fairly low compared to Soccer, Tennis or Golf and you must after all think long term.

Still sorting old shots. A much more pleasant job now that I've got more than 512MB of RAM

The lions at the zoo in a small enclosure behind thick close set bars but I got most of him in shot by stretching out to maximum reach near the bars.

Without a proper bird lens I resorted to photographing Native Minah birds that come and steal scraps of food at the botanic gardens kiosk. I don't really go there for sour cream and wedges at $9.00 for a big bowl. Honest Well not now I'm dieting anyway.

500ml I like birdie 2 a lot. Great soccer shot K1W1 and Rooz that first shot of Lucas is lovelly.

the sharpness retention from the nikon TC's is excellent. almost makes the PITA compatability worthwhile.

Freycinet National Park?

Yep, freycinet national park. We camped there for one night. That shot is taken from walking up Mt Amos. The previous day we walked down to the beach area before sunset (silly idea wearing thongs) and walked back in almost darkness. While we were on the beach a pack of almost 10 dolphins were swimming back and forth near the shore, they were almost close enough to touch. Here's one of the shots. Taken with the 55-200VR
